Test Cases For Lift or Elevator is one of the most important and very useful test cases which is generally asked in the interviews. Lift feature and functionality of working are very important scenarios.
So let us start and explore the test cases for lift.
TC001: Verify that lift door and wall door are properly aligned and distance are very well covered
TC002: Verify that lift opens on each floor if there is a button clicked to stop
TC003: Verify that upper button click only opens the lift which is going from bottom to top and lower button click only opens the lift which is going from top to bottom
TC004: Verify that upper and lower stop button click can open the lift door from both the direction
TC005: Verify that lift must indicate an alarm if lift overweighted
TC006: Verify that lift must not close the door until overweight cannot be controlled
TC007: Verify that lift must have proper weight chart, emergency nos and emergency telephone
TC008: Verify that lift must have alarm button, fan button, and emergency stop button
TC009: Verify that lift must have buttons on for all floors including ground and lower grounds
TC010: Verify that clicks on a particular floor button, lift must stop on that particular floor
TC011: Verify that while lift door is closing and if someone just between the door or wave hands between the doors it must detect and open
TC012: Verify that lift door must open for a certain specific time and close after that particular time (if no one can press force close or open buttons)
TC013: Verify that lift opens on all the clicked floors
TC014: Verify that lift functionality must be based on FIFO, if lift is one 2nd floor and going to top and someone clicked from ground floor it cannot start moving from top to bottom until it reaches the destination
TC015: Verify that if someone gets down on some floor from lift and no one pressed any floor button then lift must stand on the last destination
